Who is actually signing the lease?
The lease is a Corporate Master Lease signed by Mahogany and Oak. Our organization is your legal tenant. This means you aren’t chasing individuals for rent; you are receiving a single, guaranteed payment from a professional entity backed by government-contracted funding.
What services does Mahogany and Oak offer to assist with housing needs?
Mahogany and Oak provides a variety of services aimed at addressing the housing crisis in California. We offer housing assistance, which includes access to affordable housing options, as well as wraparound support services such as financial counseling, job training programs, mental health resources, and connections to community resources. Our goal is to not only provide shelter but to empower individuals and families to thrive within their communities.
Is this 'subletting'? My insurance might not allow that.
This is a specialized Corporate Housing Agreement. We can provide you with our certificate of insurance that names you as 'Additionally Insured.' We carry professional liability and general liability specifically designed for this model, which often provides better protection for the owner than a standard Renter’s Insurance policy.
Who are these 'individuals' and are they supervised?
These are vetted members of our community—often veterans or workers facing temporary housing gaps. We don't just 'drop people off.' We provide active case management. Our staff is onsite daily to ensure the 'House Rules' are being followed. If a resident isn't a fit for the environment, we handle the relocation immediately. You never have to deal with an eviction.
